Prompt Arcane - The Bastard Dark Schneider
Day 3 of Sculptober:
Reference:
I really like this character from the Anime Bastard, he's just an OP wizard with an ego to match lol. I saw this scene in the bottom pic and thought it might be a cool pose for a sculpture. But i ended up changing it a little as it was too symmetrical in 3d.

Shaders:
This piece took a little long, 1.5 days because i had to research a little to figure out how to make the lightning shader and the magic circle. I was able to do it though and its pretty sick they're actual 3d items. These shader notes are to help me out when i look back to figure out how i did this shit again in the future lol.
Lightning Charge -
This ones a bit complex, theres the main electric shader for the appearance and then a group for the mask that dictates the area the electricity can go. The electricity and mask then get combined and run into a an emission node so it gives off light in the scene.
Once the lightning material is made and added to an object ( i used a sphere ). The object (sphere) has to be duplicated so that one can be the canvas for a dynamic paint modifier and the other is the brush for the same mod. The "canvas" is the object the lightning effect is applied to and the "brush" is the object that acts as a physics controller for the lighning. This shader runs the lightning in an animation sequence where you can select by frame which sequence looks best. A displacement mod is added to the canvased sphere (the blue shape) to give it an amorphous appearance. From there i just adjust the color burn and color dodge nodes and the ramp they plug into until it looks how i want it color/ intensity wise.
Magic Circle -
Ok this ones alot simpler, the "magic circle" is just an image ( i found on pinterest ) projected onto a plane led into a mix shader that is also being fed by a transparency and emission shader. The color ramp controls the transparency, just reverse the original white to black settings and the projected image becomes an object with a transparent bg. The coior / light is controlled by the emission node.
Magic Circle Aura -
This is also a simple one, its basically just the same thing only instead of an image its a 3d radial noise texture being projected upon a cone. The light / color is also controlled by the emission node.
