Hello! Things are finally starting to calm down for me now so i'm back! I've only been able to do quick studies in pen and paper when i could in the last month, it feels good to paint again.

I'm giving this portrait another try!

Its cool to see how you're getting more consistent with the facial structures and anatomy. The gesture practice is looking clean as well, good stuff!
I'd only say that you can risk a bit more contrast between the values on your paintings but that's it o/

You just need to select the "Class Mode" option. I generally do sessions of 30 minutes in it. There are other websites where you can do the same, but i like the photo collection of this one the most.

Hello! I'm not posting as much as before, but i'm still studying!

I have been working on the drawabox lessons for some time. I'm currently starting Lesson 5. I feel that it has been a good investment of time, and i can see a great improvement when i look back to some of my work from before.

For ArtSchool, I just finished the Term 4 - Color and Light Theory 1 first assignment, here it is:

Let me know witch one is your favorite (Mine is 5)!

I'm also still doing daily gesture drawings and studying anatomy when i can.

I like 2,3,4,7 ... If I had to decide I would pick 2 because the red is a nice contrast to the blue outfit and therefore sets a nice focus on the face. Same goes for 4 actually, but I like the color of the boots from 2 a bit more :}

5 fore my taste is a bit too much saturation in the light green in comparison to the darker green in the boots.
Everything is just my opinion though xP

I like the design as a whole and especially her expression 😄

Btw I wanted to ask, is drawabox good? :} And does it add something to Marcs Art School? Or is it very similar?

Drawabox is really good! It focus on fundamental skills, and helps you to approach drawing in a more structured way. I was lacking some of those fundamentals and spending some time working on it was really helpfull. I feel that i can learn more from Marcs Art School now that i leveled up those skills.

Weekly update!

I have finished the color and light assignments, there's yet much to learn, but maybe it's a good idea to try new things and come back to it later. I have done this scene many times and this was the best i got:

One year has passed since i have posted my first gestures. I think that i have improved a lot on the lines, but the figures (exceptionally the fast ones) are not flowing like it should, and i also make the head too small some times. I think that i will start to spend more time in each figure and see how it goes. Here are some gestures from this week:

I'm currently working on term 4 anatomy again, here is a study for the first assignment:

I will work on it some more, i'm hoping to start term 5 next month.

These are looking really good, I love your completed figures The anatomy study looks great! The only thing I can see that may be off a bit is how narrow the abs are toward the lower half. But I can't really see on the ref. Really lovely work darts!
