I felt like it's been ages since my first post but it's only been three weeks (not even the suggested duration for term 1) , probably have patience issues heh
Never kept track of time well
Anyway, I've made a lot of T1 Pen control assignments but basically just drew over the things of previous days on both pc and paper so it's incomprehensible
Been doing gesture drawing from time to time too, though not everyday
I've been spending too much time trying to get some personal pieces out
Still primitive and quite improvised since I've been practicing for such little time, but I really like that ice skater OC I created
First ever sketch on her which gave the idea, started from 0 so it took way too much time adjusting (planned out on the go)

Second sketch I made after that, a second OC alongside that I haven't really fleshed out
I feel like his design is quite uninteresting, supposing there will be classes on character design later on?

That's where I tried some new styles
Tried putting the existing two in a simplified style, with thicker outlines
So far I used to be satisfied with all those but now I'm kinda skeptical about them
Then tried to make a quick sketch (because I've been spending way too many hours on the previous pieces) but I really didn't like the results, someone advised me to pull shoulders back and tilt head up so I'll definitely redraw it as such in the future

Don't know if it's luck or something else, but I recently managed to draw this exactly in the style I wanted, liked it so much I tried adding a background and render it
Not sure if it ruined it but I preferred the non rendered and no background line art (don't have it anymore unfortunately), but I wasn't expecting much anyway since I haven't learned color/rendering/composition at all

Finally for my latest thing I just tried simplifying it once more this time trying to keep the style as best as possible, in normal full body straight pose so I can use it as reference for all my future drawings of this OC

That should be it for the last few weeks-
Will try to do the assignments more regularly now to balance things out between fun and study, right now I'm at about 90%-10% (assignment studies basically just became the quick daily warmups)
