I finished the Photoshop Assignments. I used Krita instead of Photoshop. I have a Huion Kamvas 13 tablet.
I'm still new to digital art and these took forever. I struggled with them a lot.
And here is my "castle" and the photos used. Even though I struggled with these assignments, I learned a lot!
Welcome, Connie! Good to see you have most of the basics down!
Welcome to the forum!
Welcome!!!
welcome to the forums!
Welcome Connie!
Thank-you everyone for the welcome!
Welcome to the site!
I watched the "Nude Figure Drawing" video. That was a lot to take in. I'm going to have to re-watch it as I go through the class assignments.
Here is my first attempt at the skeleton with cylinders assignment. Any comments are welcome!
Good job, looks great.. maybe you could slightly adjust(increase) the spacing for the last pressure practice exercise, I don't believe it's necessary but I guess it'd make it look more distinguished.
Yeah, the supplied sheet for that last pressure exercise is way to small. I've been creating a new big page with room to practice.
Thank-you!
I added gesture drawing to my daily practice. Here are a few that I did yesterday. They are about 30-45 secs each. They are barely glorified stick figures. And a lot of chicken scratching going on.
they convey the gesture well! nice job
I've been working on the first study of a professional artist. I started with "Drunken Aunt" by Chrissie Zullo. Here is my pencil sketch and a picture of her original. Currently, I'm working on digitally inking my version/copy.
Here is my final version of "Drunk Aunt". It was a good way to practice digital pen control. I hadn't realized how much line variation there is in the artwork until I "inked" it.
I finished my second character study. This one is by Jake Panian and is from an animated movie called "Mitchells vs. the Machines". Haven't seen it. But I liked the action in this image as well as the character design.
And this is my first drawing for the proportion assignment. I followed along on Marc's video as well as referencing "Figure Drawing for all it's Worth" by Andrew Loomis.
Third character study is done. This one is a study from Anna Cattish.
Yo, welcome aboard, looking good so far, keep at it
cheers
