Hello to all!
I just started Marc Brunet's program, and I'm very proud of it!
I've been drawing quite regularly for the past year, I stopped working because I'm sociophobic and that left me plenty of time to review the basics.
I decided to start the program at the very beginning, so I'm practicing on the tablet and with the photoshop tools.
Because I already know the software pretty well, I took the liberty of doing two exercises today!
Don't hesitate to give me advices

Nice linework! I guess the color assignments "fruit" and "beach girl" could use some work. But, to be fair, I didn't perform well

welcome aboard! I agree with @Julia_J, Lines are pretty good though (Better than mine haha)

Yesterday I went to bed thinking that I had succeeded, and when I looked at what I had done when I woke up this morning, it was completely different from the vision I had the day before :joy:
Thanks for your feedback

Hello !
I continue Term 1 with the assignment 3- Combining images
I did it 3 times before arriving at this version, I already had a more or less clear idea of what I wanted, but I have the impression to have lacks in compo
I like this piece, except for the planet which is a little bit out of place in the background
Your advices will be very appreciated !

And here is a board with the pictures I chose and the different tests I did

Hey Draconia, I really don't think you need to worry about composition right now but since your asking here's what stands out to me. You did a good job for what the assignment was asking for though (photobashing the images)

1) the mountain on the right has a lower perspective to the rest of the scene.
2) same with the house.
3) the colors are all over the place - in the back you have icy mountains with a really bright sky right above it. in the front the piece seems to have a warmer feeling even though the sun seems to be blocked by some clouds.

again i would recomend you ignore the feedback though. I believe the point of this exercise was to get comfortable with different tools in photoshop.

hope this helps.

Hey, thanks for your feedback it helps a lot!
Even if the goal was more to get familiar with photoshop, the tips you just gave me are very accurate because I tend to forget them on my own illustrations

I am making progress on term 1 with liquify/ heal/ stamp and selections.
I feel that I had some problems on the old/young exercise and on the alien that don't look too credible, don't hesitate to tell me what you think about it !

Hi Draconia! Your old-young exercise looks really good!
A few of your apples look artificial because they still have the rigid edges from when you duplicated them. You could try to soften them up using an eraser if they're on separate layers. The burning looks pretty good though.
