I like the staff design of 2 but I would recommend to continue to explore designs. As far as some suggestion on the design itself, play with the ration of Large/medium/small Kienan Lafferty have some good tutorials on this concept.
Find some reference of butterflies and try to find interesting (ideas)motifs in there that you like and use them in your designs.
Other than the design, I suggest working on the anatomy of the character as well. I did a quick paintover.
Make sure you nail down the anatomy first before adding the clothes. Doing it this way will allow you to see mistakes faster. Not sure if your using reference for the pose and wings, but if not I highly recommend you do.
