Personally I really love the armored half of her! I like her form as a whole as well but I think, if you want, you would be fine taking out the horse part for the benefit of the composition!

Maybe you can check out some cowboy movies for action scenes on horseback that way you might find a good comp

After some thinking, I think I am satisfied with the composition I have. /Nod/ my plan now is basically to work on the rendering, and get everything finished and in place. So My next Update after this will probably show the new plans i have for the picture that i feel will fill in the missing “Epic” elements. Stay tuned my dudes.

You don't have to do a horse if your still puzzling about that, any animal could be used for the bottom half. A colourful snake would give you lots of energetic coils to add dynamism to your composition for instance, and may take up less space, or a mermaid or something. EDIT sorry, just noticed the unicorn horn on her forehead, might make changing the horse difficult if you wanted to stick with that...

Also (going off an earlier wip here) I would have her looking at where she is firing her arrow, the latest picture of her face has her staring off somewhere else and feels disconnected to me.

That’s just a screen cap! the image itself is quite big. I’m just using screencapture for the works in progress, despite how i sacrifice some quality in doing so. But the final image will be the actual resolution.

Reworking the face a little, and playing with the hair. going for a bit of a mix of Princess leia, Elsa, and sailor moon. Trying to get her to look in the direction she’s aiming. xD

DONT PANIC! so this update might be a little anti climatic, but i started noticing a few structural errors that would have done the final image no justice, so basically this is what i’m working with right now, documenting this to laugh at later. Those are my twiggy ass arms in there too, to be painted over later of course.
