This is my final submission. I hope it is ok, since this is my first time submitting something to a contest this size before. I had a lot of fun challenging myself with the landscape and everything. I went ahead and redid my original concept page (wanted to make it a heck of a lot better than it was).

Concept: Here is my warrior centauress, Kalydohnia (pronounced Caledonia). She is one of the four Guardians of the Path; entrances into the beloved and sacred city. She is tasked with preventing evil from even setting foot on the sacred land to steal the light.

And here is my final completed illustration. Hopefully, I fixed everything.

Ambitious atempt! Kudos. ^^ Especially if this was your first landscape.

I'll gladly give you some feedback on your background.
If you truly want some feedback, I'd suggest trying to use a perspective grid from the beginning, and then focusing on having a foreground, midground and background, clearly separated with values differences. Darker and more contrasty in the foreground, and very desaturated and light in the background. You generally want your subject, the character, to be on the midground.
Your mountains in the background are Very dark, which makes them appear very close. And then you have very strong saturation in the midground hill and in the castle in the background. If something is as far back as the castle, it should be almost gray.

Ok, so I should go back in and find a way to basically reverse the values; darker cliff where she is standing and lighter mountains, and dull down the gold on the castle?

Well, it's something that would be more correct, but I honestly think you'd learn more by applying it to future pieces.

I just realized that my program somehow changed my setting from RGB to CMYK when it crashed the other day (luckily I saved every 5 minutes). I was wondering why it looked so neon like on this site. Hopefully I fixed the problem and that it appears a lot better than before.

Sorry about all the same reposts. I have been trying to figure out how to make the size the exact that is needed for the contest. Still new to this so I am trying to learn all that I can.
