Really loving it. But I'm missing some cast shadows in there that would create some more contrasts on the character to create even more visual interest.

awesome details dude snakebearer is definitely right though, put the image in black and white and scrutinize the values, ideally you want the character to read with a nice clear silhouette and the highest point of contrast to be right on the main focal point.
I'd also suggest putting some out of focus foreground elements too to push the depth and make the background more believable
