Hello everyone, this is my Artwar2 entry. This was fun and I can't wait to attempt 3D printing this beast someday.

A quick story to motivate him.
Bahl is cursed to serve whomever sits on the throne, from the kingdom of man.
Although he has to abide by this barbaric kings commands he despises the king and his rule. While he longs to return to his own people, this curse also quenches Bahl's growing desire for death and destruction. Will Bahl fight this curse or succumb to its will?

This is Bahl, the Cursed. The blue guy! Not the magical talking green companion!

My blockout so far. Decided to make the design a little more fun. I had initially imagined it as a "court of the dead" stylisation.

Some minor variations on the face. It will eventually have a skull-ish look.

Playing around with the horns. Might land up making the horns a crown or like deer antlers. Crits and suggestions welcome

nice details , how did you model the armor ? low poly to high ? or straight into high poly ?

Hi archsider, sorry for late response. I modelled straight into high poly using extract. But I kept zremeshing until I got something a little easier to work with. I do prefer have subdivision levels that I can drop down to for ease of use.

Trying some colour on this guy. I think the orange looks more fun but I would def have to push the saturation up a bit. I also like the pale look but dont know if its going to read well in the final piece. Will have to work with a shader to get that pale orc look I want. I am compleyet open to suggestions and advice,

thanks , for the colors I think if you go red , then go all out high saturation red , like the depth of hell , or rather blue and lifeless to show ruthlessness of the character.

Some test renders in Keyshot. Wish I could get that flame to look more fume-like in Keyshot.

Does anyone have some input with the gold horns please?? Not sure if I should go that direction. Too blingy??
