For Art War 2 I have decided to create a dark elf, I haven't come up with a specific backstory, however since he is fighting in the war I wanted to make sure he had abilities and gear to do so. He is able to use some magic and is also very physically capable, the end of style will be a stylised character, somewhere between dishonoured and overwatch.
My final concept for the character, going to start sculpting today, I may make a few adjustments to the design along the way as well. I tried to stick with quite a dark colour scheme as the character is representing darkness and went for colours and symbols/shapes that represent a more menacing character.

Had some things come up so I put this on hold seeing as the deadline was extended. I'm keen to get back to it, So far I have only done a rough block out of the character in ZBrush.
Some more progress refining the face and upper body geometry where you will see more of the skin. Next I will be doing the hair and hands and then I will move onto the clothes and equipment.
The hair took me forever but happy with the result, finalised the facial features and hands and started work on the staff, keen to get onto the clothes soon.
Started work on the clothes, most of it is at the blockout stage still in dynamesh but im liking the way it's coming along, not sure if I like the "sash" section so much and I am thinking of reducing the number of skulls to three to make the design look less cluttered.
Meant to post some more updates but got caught up in it, I have decided to remove a lot of the things I had planned to put on his chest area as it just seems cluttered and unnecessary. This is the final sculpt of the character itself, however, I still have the dagger and sheath left to create. I have started the re-topo of the character in Maya And hope to have that completed soon too.
Update on where I am at, took a quick break because of the extension to finish off another asset for another project but I am really happy with where I am at and am looking forward to finishing this up.
Just finalising parts of the textures and then I will pose the character.
