I'm concerned that there may be too many small details competing for attention. Its important to keep some large shapes to allow eyes a point to rest. The shapes all flow together very well, I would recommend just smoothing out some of the lines to keep a few areas more open.

That orange shader is beautiful by the way

Playing around with some possible colors, like always nothing is final and a subject to change. Just seeing what might work in the final build. Also thinking about using ornaments on the armor plates.

I really like the orange!

If you do choose the green version, I would recommend making it slightly less yellow.

Great work so far! Personally, i think you should go for the orange (or some other color) instead of the green, because once you start thinking of Buzz Lightyear, you can never get that out of your head when looking at the green one. (Sorry!) Great work overall, and I love the change in direction you went with on the wings. Terrific work!

Thanks for all of the responses guys, they do help me to guide myself in the correct direction Here is a just a little update, starting to think about the mechanical parts that would be going under armor. The mechanical parts will be the detailed areas and the plates on top of them will allow the audiences eye to rest. Will try to keep it to the 1/3 ratio of details to clean areas. Thinking about white carbon fiber as the armor material?

The 2nd one has more detail, but I feel like the silhouette of the shoulders in option 1 is stronger.
