Hey there. I'm starting my Worlds 3D challenge thread here! The elevator pitch is that a highly superstitious desert tribe lives (very anxiously) within spitting distance of an ancient supersociety temple due to its proximity to the only oasis for miles around. Uneasy Bedfellows, if you will!

Very interesting concept, I loved the intro as well
The sketch seems nice, though I am not really sure if it accurately conveys the whole 'rebuilding on top of the old world's ruins' theme.
Then again, maybe that's just me. Good job nonetheless

Hey there! That's a very good point, and something I'm going to noodle on a bit more as I work through the concepting phase. The theme of my entry is suspicion and fear so I want to make it so the tribal aspects never actually touch the temple, but rather frame it-- maybe using warding totems and swathing cloth to partially hide it from view?

As I said, that 's a fascinating topic to me, I'm not sure if it's fully within the rules though. I actually posted a question in the contest comments, asking if it's ok if the old world ruins are just near the new buildings, something like that, but I haven't got an answer yet

If you find a way to make it work somehow, go for it, I really like the sound of it and the sketch so far!

More work on the scene! Filling in the greybox with rocks replacements. They're first pass, so I'm gonna go in and work the silhouettes more I think, but I like the way its heading. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Slow progress, but steady! Starting to get a better feel for the colour scheme here.

thanks! yeah, I was worried that it was getting too monochrome so I chose a tertiary accent colour for it.

Continuing work! Mostly props, and I'm still working on filling out the living space more. I just need to make sure I don't get caught up on the details!

The yellow and green design Look best to me, although I'm not sure if the colour scheme would sit right behind the quite 'royal' colours of your foreground, of which I might say is stunning!

Got some plants going, and updated the light! Still not sure what to do with the temple though... almost lost this project for a little bit, so remember to have back-up saves!
