Do hope you do not sleep on this after all its one of those things that's recommended to start early so you can build a fan base, or even a Youtube per say.
Of course if you don't feel like doing it yet, that's fine. After all there is the other equation of becoming so good that they can't ignore by Cal Newport. So yeah.
But hey who am I to say this 
I am not even at the first mileage, but I guess I just think of it as a documentary of yourself. Letting peoples in your journey as an artist, so they can see that it was all glamurous throughout the years.
But I guess that's what this sketchbook is for, right? In my case, I will do it as video format by the start of next year (well start documenting it) , since I start 1 year and half ago or so, so it also gives me like a benchmark or I could say something that will help me shape towards what kind of art I want to do.
But anyway let me not fill your thread with my gibberish
