Nice work, improving those lines, just don’t burn yourself out with exercises (unless they are enjoyable) - make sure to have fun!

Cheers

thank you! i don't think i'm gonna burn out anyways because in this period i'm exercising my discipline too and I get an incredible amount of joy when i finish doing the work i planned on doing and i feel like i'm actually using my time and not wasting it

colored it following only marc's guide on gradient maps and on light

Nicely done, I like the way you use values

Cheers

tried a face study session. i can feel the struggle when i try them from memory, any tips?

It can be very difficult without any reference, even a skull model can help. Drawing the construction within a cube can also help

Woah those are a lot of heads, are these all iterations frim reference?

Yes they are, I just opened Pinterest and went towards the ones I liked more

today i focused on just one portrait. i've done it using copics

Oh my, great job on this!
I don’t know how the reference is so can’t really tell if the model or the portrait needs a little bit extra tip projection
The values seem very well grouped together and the result is very pleasing!

I’ve never used copic markers myself, what are your thoughts on the medium, do you find it is easy to get value gradation with them?

Cheers

They have pros and cons, it's quite easy to shade but this also implies that it's difficult to have a clear edge, I think that overall they re quite like a mixture of Marc s soft and hard brush, I couldn't really explain it better, anyway here's the reference
