Hello everyone, I'm Gabriel a 21 years old from Brazil. I always tought I was more of a 3D artist (hard surface) until I decided to start to learn digital sculpt as well. As I searched for the basics I saw a lot of people saying how useful would it be to know how to drawn first...

I then started to (very randomically) learn the basics of drawing. What I didn't expect was that I ended up enjoying drawing way more than actually modeling, so here I am.

By the way I actually started the Art school about 3 weeks ago but as I downloaded all the 1 Term's files I forgot to start a new Topic and am even a little bit lost about how to use it (Is there a way to follow another thread?)

Here's what I already did

(Gesture Drawing 1min and 30s)

(The 'anatomically correct' male and female figure )
Ps: Is this model used only for adults? How do I adapt to a child or a Dwarf?

(My Figure Drawing using the pen as a measuring unit)

as I'm new in the forum i'm apparently only able to post 3 images but I have kept my progress on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/digitalartstudent/)

I'm planning on post my daily progress here

I hope we can all keep helping each other as we grow ^^

Welcome to the forum! for the question about threads you get notified when people mention you or reply to your comment on other posts on different topics. the topic you check out till the end of the feed will have a yellow number indicating that someone posted something new so that's how you "follow" topics on the forum.

That model is only used for adults but on how to adopting to children or dwarfs look for how many heads tall each one is and try to experiment with proportions until it looks right. I don't think Marc talks about child proportions but I may be wrong. Nice practice so far cna't wait to see what you make in the future.

Fala Gabriel, bom trabalho, seja bem vindo!
Remember that you also learned how to make measurements, so, if you want to adapt to a Child or a Dwarf, you can always search for some reference in the proportions that you like, and see by yourself how the artist tackled it.
I'm excited to see your progress! Tell me if you need help with anything!

I'm gonna try a dwarf reference and see how it ends,
Just found where are the notifications too , tks ^^

Daily challenge failed in the first day as my internet decided not to work anymore ...

well, here's what I did Yesterday

Gesture Drawing 30s (only the ones I liked)

Gesture Drawing 1 min (only the ones I liked)

Reference using measurements

Perspective with 1 focal point

perspective with 2 focal points

Started blocking out my room
my idea is to make a room in a 'tower of clock'

Just realized, Is my clock too small?

GD 30s (should I post all of then? )

GD 1 Min

Figure Drawing using measurements

This time I missed pretty beautifully, but I liked the end result so I didn't even try to fix
