Hi Florian ! Great drawings ! Looking forward to see ur progress trhoughout the terms !

Hey! Welcome to the forum!
I'm about the same age as you  :joy: Can't wait to see your progress!

Hello ! I've started the nude figure program, and... there is work to do ! ( I skipped the photo editing for now since it isn't really what i'm looking for.)
Here is my training of today : :weary:

I feel like it's a good start but there is still work to do !
Counting on ur feedback,

Have a beautiful day/evening !

I haven't started the nude figure program yet but they all seem nice! Good work.

Hello ! For today i've started training to make cylinders while making few skeletons as well.

I'm really struggling to make ellipses and making multiple lines that are similar in size and shape.

Here is my little training of today :

Honestly it took me way too long for this  I'm gonna eat a lot of ellipses for the next days

Appreciate any feedback,

Have a beautiful day/evening !

nice Practice, maybe try out drawing each cylinder part in full circles and not just the front it helps alot for me to get the base shape right, maybe it helps u too  keep it up!

Maybe try to rotate the canva while drawing, it helps me a lot. Also try to make lines faster, don't hesitate, you can do "ghost lines" to have a muscle memory and after being comfortable draw the lines.

Hello guys ! Thanks for the feedback and advices ! Didn't had much time today so didn't do much.
I've decided to make draw over of multiples ellipses and circles to build muscle memory of the shapes.
Here's what i did today :

What i do, is that i draw over the shapes 5times in one strokes. I go slowly for now but when i'll be able do it to a decent rythm i will do it without the lines to guide my first stroke.
Do u think it is a good exercice to do or not ?

Thanks for the feedback,

Have a wonderful day/evening.

I think I should do this too! I really struggle with ellipses sometimes.

There is an online free course in many of the fundamentals of construction called Draw A Box which advocates a similar thing. For ellipses it always makes you draw through each shape twice without lifting your pen from the paper. I found it quite useful in drilling the muscle memory in and by the time I'd worked my way through most of the terms on the site I could draw fairly decent freehand circles.

Five times is quite ambitious though. Fair play if it works for you, but I think I'd find it difficult to learn much from my mistakes if I did five passes as they'd all blend in together and make it hard to analyse. I'm sure it'll still be helpful in building up your general dexterity and accuracy.

Hey guys ! Thanks for feedback and advices ! Really appreciated  I did more ellipses and circles today !
As u said @Akky 5 times in one stroke was a bit too much too really see mistakes and analyse properly so i followed ur advice and did it only 2 times in one go. :relieved:

Here my training of the day :

It's a bit better than the first time but far from perfect. :joy:
Tomorrow i'll start to do cylinders on models, we'll see how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback,

Have a awesome day/evening !

Your circles look really good, that exercise looks awesome. Try to transfer the quality of your circles into your cylinders.most of them look rather flat. Maybe try and draw bigger cylinders and draw the outlines and the cross contour lines from you shoulder instead of your wrist...
Also dont overdo it with cross contour lines most often 1-3 are enough (like you did for the two cylinders in the bottom left) and think about those lines wrapping AROUND the form to create the illusion of 3-dimensionality.
Hope that helps

Hello guys ! Thanks for the feedback ! Really appreciate ! Today the program was... Ellipses ! Needed some change a little :joy:
I tried doing my exercise with only my shoulder as @mau.wamp said and well u'll see how it turned out
I also tried putting cylinders on models as i said yesterday and i don't think it's bad but not good either.

Here is my training of the day :

As u can see my accuracy and dexterity when i use my shoulder is not very good  So i'll better work on that !

Thanks for the feedback,

Have a unbelivable day/evening !
