Ok week 5 here we go!
2 min gestures

Clothed figures. I didn't have any naked people from previous assignments so I just used the gestures.

5 character heads from imagination.

And finally the 3d bust. Oh boy was the painting a slop fest. I think I needed a much higher pixel count with the UV mapping because colors not following the brushstroke very well. Also - incredibly laggy lol. I think it looked better before the painting but ah well.

Term 3 week 6 here we go!
Daily anatomy 2 assignment 2:

Copy a fully dressed character:
Ref: Jen Zee - Hermes from Hades

Really fun taking a crack at this render style. A lot of lassoing and some subtle gradients. They color matching may not be perfect - I was a lot more focused on the process.

A representation of me in a simple pose. Unamused and unclean.

That's it for term 3!
Despite there being only 6 weeks of assignments, I feel like it was a fairly heavy workload.

Term 4 Week 1
5 Min gestures
I'm starting to enjoy these quite a bit.

Color Harmonies
I cheated and only used 2 different images to save time. Don't think it took anything away from the assignment - it was all about the color after all.

Cast Shadows
I got stuck a couple of times on these so if you see anything wrong let me know. I ended up watching a 10 minute video on youtube that seemed to explain the concept better than Marc's

I started with this image then realized the layers weren't properly set up for it....so I just did the one and found a new image.

Week 2!
Muscle Highlights

Color and light theory.
As some of you have already stated, this method of shadow mapping is unrealistically laborious haha. Good to know when a shadow looks wrong and you can't figure out why though.

Welp, this week is taking a lot longer than a week. The forearm is pretty complex for my little goblin brain so I'm going to do extra studies on it.

Extra arm notes. I'm glad I took the time to understand the forearm better but to be honest all of this anatomy stuff is burning me out. The lower body should be much easier...right?
Also, "Anatomy For Sculptors" has been very helpful for understanding the body.
