Hello! I know it's a bit late to join the contest but I wanted to give it a try to do some practice. I've been thinking of a female warrior who fights for her people against a squadron of enemies which seriously damaged her homeland. I figured her holding a bazooka or a rifle, but it would be an unconventional weapon as it shoots spells instead of rockets.She also has to struggle on a daily basis with her own head of hair; that's why she's happy to wear helmets or hoods.

I thought of posting some rough sketches: on the top, a selection of characters I chose as inspiration like Xena, Lara Croft and even Launch from Dragon Ball. On the bottom, I've been trying to figure out one soldier from the enemy army (they ride enslaved mantes like horses).
Unfortunately, I won't be able to complete the project within the deadline, Nevertheless I'll keep working on the concept to get a more detailed character and backstory.
