Hi there 
I am Alex (andra), 28, from Germany, but currently staying in Malaysia. Drawing / painting was part of my life since I was a kid. I remember drawing every day. As a teenager I loved the art classes at school and was drawing regularly at that time. Then becoming an adult there was marriage, university (unfortunately nothing art related), kids – in short the “real life” that kept me occupied. So I was not drawing for more than a decade.
Last year in April I discovered it again and was drawing casually. I started an Instagram account to post my art (grumpyalexart) and get feedback and inspiration.
Remembering how much I enjoyed it and feel the same feeling again I decided that I want to get “serious” with art and at the end of the year sale I bought Marc’s ART SCHOOL. Since the last months of 2020 I tried to develop a drawing routine, doing studies and drawing more from references. In January I started Term 1.
I followed some of your journeys here along too and was sometimes a little bit intimidated by the great progress and awesome skills I have seen here. But I want to improve and get honest feedback, so being part of the community here would certainly help. 😊 Maybe a can add some helpful feedback here and there for someone, too. I will try it.
Here are some of my works ( the first is the most recent which I decare as “before”)
(I hope they are not too big). Someday I would like to been able to draw own characters and worlds. I love playing games and always thought of "I want to be able to draw that kind of stuff, too" when I looked concept art / illustrations from e.g. Devil May Cry 4 or the Fable games.
