Your cloth studies/rendering are inspirational. I am currently reworking my way through the course, I originally hated doing cloth studies but I am looking forward to tackling them again after seeing yours : )

@Nosnibor thank you so much, it's really nice to know my work can inspire other people :).
I truly hated drawing clothes as well, as I never understand how the folds work, but after just a bit of knowledge from the course about tension points I can finally try to draw without a fear of complete failing.
And slowly, I'm learning how to put shadows on cloths, which I believe will result in some decent cloth drawing in the future.
I still have no patience for detailing and putting all the folds in place to make it look more realistic, but I'm more confident to create simplified version of it and that's more than enough for me ^^.

I am just starting out with clothes right now after basically 8 months of no practice due to school, when you were starting clothes did you just dive straight in with the videos or did you try and go over individual folds first?

@williamclemens8 I'm glad you like those, thank you :).
I watched the video, made some notes, try to understand and remember some stuff as all those were quite new for me. Did't practice any individual folds besides those from the video, where I drew it for my notes.
But I always was quite good with copying so I did similar stuff here, when I made those assignments. This time however, I made sure to stop sometimes and not only mindlessly draw what I see, but think about it for a while, where those folds come from and why. Sometimes, on the sketch, I tried to put some tension points to get a better understanding.

It's a hard topic that requite a ton of practice and even after all those exercises I'm not truly confident in drawing clothes, but I know I'm getting closer.

it's very hard to find an artist who is not doing sketchy / messy style in clothing and on the other hand there's so many Ai everywhere that I had a really bad time trying to search for those refs.

I really like the second one, especially the lineart and think I'd try to adapt it into my drawings in the future ^^

@SamuraiSingh oh my, thank you so much . Although I wouldn't dare teach anyone, at least not yet.
But as I grow, I will surely want to try make some tutorials, when I finally establish my style ^^

Time for the last two exercises for this section and first is study of self photo in simple clothes.
As I cannot find a good angle to take a selfie in a mirror, I found an old photo of me (from my old modeling days) and tried to redraw it ^^.

Here's just a drawing next to photo in question - I'm so, so proud of the end result :D.

Also - I used a different style and approach, where instead of lineart, I paint on top of a low opacity sketch and put the lines near the end, to pop the whole thing :).
I did a recording out of it, so I'll be making a timelapse for sure :).

I'm a bit slow with posts, but here's my last assignment for clothing from Term 3 - fully dressed painting study:

I wanted to use similar style to my previous drawing, when first I put color onto the low opacity sketch and then slowly build the details.
I think I did a fairly good job with this one, hopefully I'll continue to manage something similar for my personal projects ^^.

I made a recording, so I should be able to post some timelapse from it soon.

Finally I can hop into anatomy and sculpting and and this term in some reasonable time :D.

Went into anatomy lessons and had a lot of fun confronting my usual knowledge with the actual theory. Turns out I wasn't that far from the proper muscle placement, but still, remembering all this is quite hard :P.
So here are my attempts for trying to find and draw muscles on photos. It's harder than it looks and I'm not sure if I got it right, but I intend to practice more
