"Especially if it's a long comment."

Suddenly I feel guilty.

It would be nice if, at the very least, replies were grouped together in some way. Right now you may have a person click reply on a post way up near the top, but it'll appear down at the bottom with the most recent discussion that's completely unrelated.

It makes having multiple conversations feel very stilted, and is especially problematic in the art blog topics where you have several different images that a person could be replying to, and no easy way to tell which one it is off the post alone (not including the text in the post, in which the person may be descriptive of which one they're talking about).

Maybe you haven't noticed it yet but the replies are in fact grouped right below the original post! They also show at the bottom as new posts so that everybody can follow the development of the conversation.

If you look at your comment right now, you'll see "2 replies" and a little arrow pointing down. You can maximize that to see the conversation

Oh, this forum is full of surprises.

But that's actually rather hidden and somewhat tedious to do. First you have to click on the little arrow, then on one of the users that commented, and then you have to click both the show hidden comments tabs. It would be nicer to just click a "show replies" button to see the full list of replies. If you could click it without first hitting the little arrow, that would be even better.

Also, there's a problem with the current system from when I looked into a couple popular art blog topics. All replies are being connected to the top level post, even if later on down the line there's a reply to some other reply, or a reply to a post. Clicking "reply" to a topic doesn't create a post which can have its own replies tracked the same way as the initial post.

Oke so now that I think about it while chatting with my friend.......my Idea would be a bad Idea just by the fact that it'll create more loading times and a bunch of other problems....

I have a pretty strong computer so I don't have to worry to much about that stuff
but others might not be so fortunate

So in other words the layout that we have right now really caters to everyone's needs
GOOD JOB CUBEBRUSH!!

Not really sure I'm following here, would you happen to have a screenshot of what you are talking about?

When you click the "X replies" button you see all the replies to that particular post. If you want to then reply to a reply, you can use the arrow icon to jump to the post and reply to it there.

Otherwise we end up with a nest-ception

Oh I see now what you were talking about! I thought you meant this "2 replies" bar (because I guess I just didn't fully read your post, sorry!):

That's the thing I clicked on and navigated around through to view replies. The little replies count and arrow you're talking about is exactly what I was asking for, lol. Thanks @marc.
