I noticed that you turned the head slightly towards us. Was there a reason for that, considering that the original wasn't? Looking great by the way. Really interesting how your style has developed, especially the hair!

One thing I would change is dull/dark area behind the robot. It feels very heavy and uninteresting.
To fix that, I would add very soft orange/red light on the robot and maybe hand. It should make nice contrast between left and right side of the painting.

Other than that, great artwork. Actually this painting was one of my first inspirations that convinced me to pursue artist career, so it's always nice to see updated version.

Hello! I am a big fan of the original version. I feel that some of the sadness in her face is gone maybe its the eyebrow or the tear or maybe its just me. The neck and hands feel more natural on the new version. Thank you for sharing your wips!

Thanks, yeah I always thought it looked flat so that was something I wanted to redo years ago, just never got to it

Agreed, this was done for printing so it worked better this way, but I'll adjust the brightness a bit for web view, thanks!

Great work Marc! i've been following your work for a very long time and is nice to see how things evolve and change, i can see how this version corresponds more to your current "way " to work. Can't wait to see your next thing.

Awesome painting! I don't know if I'm fit for providing criticism, but a few issues I notice with the piece before and after the last two revisions is that she seems to be looking past the eyes of the other subject, instead of in them. It almost has an appearance of her being closer towards the pov than the other subject, giving it a jarring look, and giving the appearance of looking past him. No clue if this was intentional or not. Some details from the previous rendition also had a more aesthetically pleasing look to them than the new piece, with the smoother blending and less texture overall in this piece, along with the change of the ponytail to the clip in the hair, and the lacing of the shirt and the colouring of it too, though this may be bias due to seeing the third rendition as the "original". But little details like that made it appear more realistic and gave it more character. Still, none the less, beautiful painting and many improvements from the third version!
