These perspective drawings looks pretty sick, you put the right amount of marks to show the shapes without looking too crowded, awesome job
Welcome to the forums Jacob! Really nice job with these assignments! I hope you find what you are looking for here!
Your understanding of placement, scale and proportion in perspective is astonishing. Everything just sits so damn well in relation to everything else. I often struggle when trying to make my environments feel like actual places, but your pieces just feel natural. Truly well done!
Thank you for the kind words! I have had a little expirience in perspective before this class so I'm not a total beginner! I would recommend Ctrl Paints perspective series as he goes into things like how do you place a person in a perspective environment which really helped me, he also gives a cool psd which contains perspective grids and a frame to move around so you don't have to draw the lines each time! It's worth the 10 bucks!
Not the most fun way to spend an afternoon but, heheheh.... balls...
Haha I feel you, but it definitely pays off. Make sure to make the side plane 2/3rds of the sphere to help you measure later on
Cheers!
PS1 Heads
Nice job in the heads
Been out sick with the flu so not much drawing done, time to get back on the horse. 3 point perspective thumbs working on composition, seeing if I can communicate a bit of a narrative as well as practicing compostion and perspective. Some I like, some I dont.
Out sick and then a holiday = not a lot of drawing, good to be back
Faces all drawn with reference
First of some 3 point perspective with the initial sketch included!
Beautiful work Both your lineart for the heads and the perspective piece, great work!
Not sue if this is the place to post this stuff but here's some studies I did after watching some tyler edin patreon vids, thought I'd share...
More faces, some from reference and some from imagination, you can probably guess which are which! XD
Cool! I like this practice a lot. I have to search for Tyler Edlin now.
It's worth signing up imo, lots of content available for beginners and those with more expeirence!
More exploration on faces this time a la Sinix Design and his strange yet fun paper boy technique... (all drawn from imagination)
I subscribed to his YT-channel and jumped in Tyler's Discord. Not that I know what to do with Discord. In Marc's Discord I give the monthly entries pictures some love regularly.
That's great, but I could live without discord, I think it's great for smaller groups but anything over 100 people and begins to feel like you're yelling into the void haha!
But at least you are using it
Skulls, spooooky stuff...
