Hands and skin painting studies looks really pleasant with the subtle hue variation.
I think you did an amazing job on the rendering. The character exploration also looks very nice.
One thing I would suggest (which is more of a personal choice I think) is to use more soft and even lost edges. It really makes the hard edges pop and bring the attention to focal points.
Good job!

Great practice with the lines! This page gives me so many memories lol. This castle bash up came out really well too! Fantastic work!

Gesture studies are still hard but with using the art schedule I’m feeling like now I have a set routine I won’t neglect gesture drawing as I know it’ll bring my poses to life and have them looking less rigid. Also I did some values practice I’m understanding the planes of the face more and more it’s a lot easier with grayscale when the face is in a normal position, so I’m exploring other pose perspectives.

Yeah! Nice work! These are looking really good! Keep it up!

Practicing faces but rather than just leaving them as a sketch I’m tackling skin and trying to understand colour theory. Drawing heads in front view is so much easier than any other angle atm. Also I do like that I’m getting the hang of portraits however I love things to look stylised so I’m finding it hard to find the line between semi realistic stylised to realism. (Hence why the last portrait the features are pushed and exaggerated more)

Watching marcs video on character design again to then come up with various costume ideas and documenting them so people can see the process that lead me to the final design. Also regarding some critique I received I’ve been trying to actually show textures in my work.

I really love these texture studies! Really fantastic work! Im not super familiar with materials but I think these look really good! Very nice work with the portraits as well! Looking great! Im not familiar with colors so I don't have anything to add in that area! The top middle shoulder plate is my favorite! I really love the highlights.

Keep grinding those shapes! The perspective looks really good! Loving the thickness on that 2 point assignment! Perspective is pretty mind warping at first, until it isnt then its not so bad. You just have to get over the hump!

@Lockenheim for sure! I know I need to keep practicing it as it’ll make my character designs look so good with 2 point perspective backgrounds/poses. I have discovered a great website called ‘movie screen caps’ where there are so many scenes from movies it’s a great way to practice drawing environments

My attempt at drawing black widow, I’m challenging myself with drawing people and getting their features right. It’s so challenging I feel I’m getting a little more confident with choosing similar colour matches to the reference

Wow this sketch is on point! Really fantastic job here! I don't remember where I heard it, but someone really good said in a video for portrait painting, you basically get 10% more accuracy on likeness for every 100 portraits you do, so it takes about 1000 portraits to get to about 90-95% likeness. So personally I don't sweat the likeness to much. That being said this looks really awesome and I think you did a great job!
