WIPS?! - I'm working on two things simultaneously because once I get a brain worm I have to enact on it. Would love feedback on either ~
Hell's Gate Project - Inspired by the gate from the last post ^, I've made it a Dark Souls-esque game level where you fight dragons, and more!
The final dragons' designs are not done, but here they are for critique and ideas ~
GU, the toxic assassin (maybe) - a character found in my ArtWar5 concepts, I really liked her too, so I explored some thumbnails Let me know which thumbnail is your favorite
Really awesome work, Jenner!
I especially like the concept art sheet for Hell‘s Gate and the twin dragons
Are your characters and locations you came up with all part of the same world that you created or do they belong to separate worlds?
Thanks for sharing your work with us, its a really inspiring contribution to the forum!
@mau.wamp they are mostly from this world I created. I actually entered a competition some time ago and had a rudimentary idea about underwater cyberpunk cities. I didn't win, but I kinda built upon that idea of underwater worlds, and how these modern elements would interact with ancient ruins.
I like exploring these worlds that I build because hopefully one day I can build a game that I like with these assets and ideas. Also, it is good portfolio pieces
have to agree with @LesleyCarol, the gold strands are what sells it for me with everything being a bit more desaturated in comparison to the previous image. regardless looks great.
Woahh Jenner like many have said its been a pleasure watching your progress on the Discord and Livestreams I would absolutely love to pick your brains on splash art one day because its a dream of mine to be able to execute it but honestly bravo on this work, your work looks basically ready for the game industry!
Yea! Along with what @LesleyCarol said, this one sells the rain, but is much more mooooooooooooooooooody. For me, I think I wanted moody in the beginning, but I figured since a lot of my portfolio and works are dark and moody, it was nice to put some light-heartedness and happy colors in there.
There might be another version of this grey water dragon though, as he looks a little more... magical with the fancy gold strands
wow! I love colors you picked! I would say you got the mood you were aiming for, it gives that rainy (gray) feeling but in the same time it`s happy rain dragon... Main focus is on the dragon, my eyes go strait to it, but then you just start noticing all tiny details in the background, very well done! I was literally staring at it and studying it for a while, hoping I will learn sth from you
