Solid studies. All of your critters recognizable. The imaginative ones are interesting and seem constructively solid. Might be a little front-heavy though? Maybe a slightly bigger back end to help counterbalance?

I'm still in Term 4, but ... oh man, I can't wait to do animal anatomy studies. Imaginative creatures and monster design is soooo fun!

Gotcha, I'll keep this in mind next time I do more imaginative creature muscle proportions . It really is fun making them not gonna lie, especially when you make them into your world/lore and other reasons, certainly brings out the best in me .

Term 5; Week 4: Progress of the Week:




Reference

I'll keep it brief since its very late, the hands and feet were a huge pain in the butt to sculpt while the torso is somewhat easy, took a while on the arm and the legs, as well, but I figured out how to sculpt it that using blender, and I know its not exactly perfect when comparing to the reference, but at least I know where am I at my skills in modeling, which is, admittedly kind fun to do, so I might do again just for fun and to practice more on that.

This is a good effort and practice using the tools.
If you have the interest (and time), look into "Box Modeling" and use that as your starting place for sculpting. That will help you quickly establish your proportions and rough forms using more precise tools (mouse+kbd). Once you have you base forms, you can save those as base templates that you can pop in and then start sculpting.
Since I'm behind you in the program, I'm not sure if that is covered in the program, but I don't see it in the Weekly Study Companion and thought it worth mentioning. Cheers!

Oh hey @Jimst, I really appreciate your input, and I honestly thought that "box modeling" sounds like great method to just sculpt into something and then save it as a new template for your sculpture, it's worth relying on it .
Also, I believe that method was covered in term 3 from zbrush on week 4 if I recall in his video.

Term 5, Week 5: Progress of the Week:
Daily Animals Hybrids Practice





5 Animal-Human Hybrid Characters

To keep it brief, the shading, coloring choices and the overall anatomy needs to be improved when I compare mine to one of his lectures, but overall, it took a lot of time to come up with the hybrids as well as studying characters and their complete shape, form and colors/shades. On the other hand, the gestures pose session was breeze at least from what I can do currently compare to last time and even steady improvement.

Briefly, while I could've use the time to work on animal anatomy, and I felt like this week was a good opportunity to go back and resharpen those areas so I wouldn't get rusty, then again, it also would help me in advanced in anatomy as its also part of the animal study as well.

Overall, I thought it was nice to catch up on certain fundamental and skills needed to improve my broad abilities in digital art\animation.

Term 5: Week 7: Progress of the Week
10 Animal with photo study

Note: The first was merely an experiment to see how i can fare using literal colors rather than the typical gradient/color balance, etc, well, still need to work more on that.

Human/Aimal hybrids

Note: For some reason, I thought the bluish white color on the hybrid looks pretty cool, and as for the small version, let's just say I couldn't decide which style I should pick, so I chose both!

I'd say this week was rather interesting. As my 5th term is coming to a close next week, I thought I would give myself out there on social media since I felt a bit confident to post maybe one per week, but I'll try not to burn myself out there, otherwise, I'll grow to hate what I'm doing.

I also got back into animation study as well, since I gotten motivated enough do that!

It's still on the rough animation and it's pretty messy, but still a work in progress and I'll try not to over work myself too much and that's pretty much what I'll say on this as I'm mainly focused on working through the terms, but I felt I should type this out.

Term 5: Final Week : Progress of the Week

Huh, time sure does flies by fast, well any who, as usual I though did great with making these creature especially for those that is drawn before but give them more advancement to their designs like the dragon and the hamster creatures, other than few mistakes, that's pretty much it.

Very late so to keep it brief, lighting my room with an open window is a bit hard to pull off so I did the best what thought looks right especially following the video as well as some of my own methods, and character making took a while to also pull-off, but I thought I did well on that.

Term 6; Week 2: Progress of the week:

Note: the lines are already there but gives me a good idea on what to look out for specific area that works well for their artwork.

Note: I did try to connect the 7 principles of art, but I'm not quite sure if its right or if I'm missing one or a few, if anything I'd world appreciate a feedback.

Overall, while I believe I have a grasp on the subject, I still definitely need to study more on the principles to properly understand the composition.

Term 6, Week 3; Progress of the week:

Note: Changes made: Brightened the art up, decrease the value of red eyes from behind as the way to truly hide in the shadow along with light effect and a few small changes too.

Note: To save time, I decide to go with a simple shape to the left while I made a semi complex mech to the right since I'm no stranger to that area, especially since I'm a big fan of sonic and its metal counterparts.

So once again, I was able to create the characters to the world of fantasy, the problem is when constructing a cut pyramid with wheels, I realize I got to work more on finding and studying details in a simple shape I want it to make a convincing mech.

Not much to say aside from few lines' errors and design choice, although I do have to admit, picking out the design has been quite difficult despite a ton of reference out there, so I thought simple frog mech would start of a bit simple in my opinion.

Note: I know this isn't really part of my original ideas to make, yet I thought I could apply most of what I learn from this year and draw the character from the game that as recently released.
OG Character: Meviel Wolverine (Speed draw Under 1 Hour)

Bio: An eccentric fellow who looks like he need to be a bit humbler, but he's quite nice and enthusiastic about the mission or anything he finds exciting, only taking things seriously when the situation is called for. Although he does get cocky when he takes it too far, so he has to be reminded to get a hold of himself.

Once again on the final week of term 6, things have progressing smoothly than I thought, but not exactly the nice ride mind you, it was such a headache to gather a large amount knowledge to draw new skills, lightings, and mech.

Took a while, but I was able to draw down and take the best of what I can do at the moment to looking good as possible when studying side to side with references, backgrounds are still a bit tricky, but I'm slightly getting better at it though.

I honestly should cut some slack into my distraction/procrastination, while I can get it done in matter that is more than just "good enough", it's still a hindrance to my progress and I'm not so sure if I can soothe that distraction.

Anyways, to get the shading down right, I have to look up some research on shading accurate looks to specific details, with the amor, while II could shade on a professional level I've seen through other studies, I though it looked really great, but I could do better the next time on the amor.

Term 7, Week 3: Story progress of the week:

These are my generic character line up to get a good idea of what type of characters there deigned as well as how to design my main and secondary ones stand out more, oof which their clothes would need the same effect as well. Not only that, but I was able to least write down the significant prop, as well as where is the story taking place, of course in a fantasy world, filled with Anthro's along with other species too(Robotics, Monstrons( wild creatures inspiration from Pokémon) and a few others ), usually center around the city as the main base for our main character, a mix between a forest and a semi green utopia, lives thrives within, and dangerous creatures lurks in the wild. of course, I hope it's a traveling journey as the concept is cool enough to pull off for its limitless potential.

Anyways, in the coming weeks, I'll hone more of my worldbuilding fantasy world while adding new elements along the way, as always, see ya then.

Term 7, Week 4: Story progress of the week:

Environmental Representation of my world

Within a week, I basically have to come up the biome on spot, although I have some ideas on how it looks for years, that's specifically in certain spot that's more recognizable, not the entire region of it, but that's start, so I'll improve the more I add more details the next I'll have the opportunity.

That being said, I'll tune in more next week to work smarter.
