Daily drawings + some beach sketches for a mini project. The perspective ruler in CSP is really convenient. Especially when dealing with ellipses.

As someone doing similar studies right now, these are very good! The mouth and teeth in particular are quite interesting and a challenge to get right!
How many mins are the gesture poses? Do you shade as you do the gesture drawing wtih a soft brush?

This week I am doing 5 minute poses. Usually I draw the pose first and then add shadows if there is still time left. When adding shadows I like to use flat opacity brush and try to use as few strokes as possible. Here is the whole process.

Nice, I always like seeing the process. When drawing these do you tend to prop up your tablet/use the shoulder or are you using your wrist more?

Ooh good question. My tablet is flat on the table and I look at my monitor. As for what I use more - I am not sure. I had to check When I need straighter line I move my arm more from the shoulder. When doing short or curved lines I use wrist more. The thing that was important for me was to relax my grip more and zoom out. I used to press too hard on the pen because the pressure settings on my brushes were horrible.

ohh these are great, very clean

I really like the way you double down on the line weight on certain areas of the figures, it works very well!

And thanks for the insight, i have noticed various great artists make their curves using their fingers and others their shoulders. I personally always prop the surface up for my main lines and use the shoulder but can work flat if detailing/hatching/rendering and I like analyzing that stuff and experimenting 😅
