Oy that rendering is amazing! There seems be very fine texture, but in particular all those lighting colors look really good. Do you just use different brushes and apply color as if painting on a canvas?

Some colors are result of the multiply and glow dodge layer and some were simply painted on top. I separated some of the layers so it is easier to see what is going on :

The Rossdraws brushes were included in his artbootcamp course that I purchased some time ago. But I am sure you can find similar ones for free.

That's very interesting. The end results gives the impression like it was all done as part of fewer layers with color effects, but now I see it's the result of different effect layers.

Depends. If you like his style, want to know more about his process and get some nice tips and tricks along the way it is nice to have. But you can also learn from his free content and save money.
He has few classes from the course avaible on Youtube.

Personally I liked it. Learned what to focus on, how to break stuff down and made some nice drawings that I didn't know I could do. I haven't finished everything yet but I will come back to it. I think the best thing I learned from it is how to draw landscapes. Before I dreaded having to draw them and had no idea where to start. But now it is lot less painful and I enjoy it.

Man, all your studies look fantastic. Coloring on those clothes looks so nice. The knights also look very dynamic and well done. Big fan of those.

All these studies are dope, the knights are looking really good. The cyberpunk enviro study is nice, i personally feel so lost as to how to study environments at all 😂

Environments can be quite overwhelming. (×_×) When doing a study you can pick anything that catches your eye. I usually want to identify the "main" parts of the scene, how they are spread out and where it leads my eyes.

You don't need to redraw the whole thing. You can just pick one subject. For example - Maybe there is an imposing building - what makes it look so epic ? Is it the perspective ? light ? Size of other objects ? What if you drew your own building with this perspective ? Copy, Redraw, colorpick, compare... whatever you need - to get your answers
