Man I love the castle with the crystal ✨

Quick 1 pt study before bed and sketch for 2nd pt perspective assignment

Very impressive stuff! Keep up the good work!

Looking good, photomanipulation is fun

It was! I quite satisfied with the castle that I have this little feeling to give it another go~

Wanted to try to turn a scenery into night time

Getting some perspective drawings in

Trying to measure buildings to make it an observation exercise as well. Recentered the focus building

Additional drawing just because I wanted to draw an asian building. Got lost in all the details and made some measuring errors. But, I think it came out fine~

Wow, those buildings in perspective are so detailed, very nice

I just had a thought about vanishing points. Before watching Marcs Videos on perspective, I never really looked at it from an artist's tool point of view. Like, when Marc mentions anything, he sees it from a practical point of view for art, like how you specify there that one feels calm, another more dynamic. I just had that realization because before, I used to think of them from an optical point of view, like a camera lens. As the VPs get closer you use a wider and wider lens, up to fisheye and everything gets distorted vs the ones going farther and farther away like a telephoto lens, which would show everything with no distortions

anyways, just crazy ramblings :stuck_out_tongue:

cheers!

I know what you mean! It was only after I started studying movie compositions. I began to categorize certain compositions with feeling. And, it made perspective more fun for me.

Update on my 2 pt perpective. The buildings in Chester Rows, England is a really nice study. I went into detail so that I could learn about jettying in architecture. It is also helps with my practices with protrusions. Though, I'm starting to worry if I'm spending too much time on a term 1 assignment

haha, I still have no idea how much time is too much on these assignments. But I can say you definitely have an affinity for drawing environments, really liking the street view so far

If you feel it takes too much time and want a break, give gestures a try

cheers

That’s coming out super nice!
