Hi everyone!
My name's Leia, and I've been drawing for most of my life. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm doing my best, and I look forward to getting to know other artists in this community.
You can find me on Instagram at @sketchbooksandstories .

Here's a couple of my drawings:

My goal is to be able to create my own webcomic one day.
I'll work hard!

Welcome aboard!

Looking forward to seeing your work, best of luck!

For some reason I keep getting an error whenever I try to reply to posts, anybody know how to fix this?

Welcome to the Forums!, Can't wait to see your progress, you're already REALLY good so I can't even begin to imagine what your Art will look like later on!.

Hi everyone! I finally got to study some more and do an update.

Here's my cylinder practice. They're fun to do!

Constructing the skeleton using cylinders was easier than I thought it would be. I did these on top of photo reference.

Body proportions are still pretty hard for me though. I'm used to doing gesture drawing and using photo reference, but because my art is always stylised, it's hard to adjust to realistic proportions. I'll keep working at it though!

Here's another example. I tried drawing the poses (on the right) and later traced the photo to see how it should look (on the left.) The second one came out a bit better but the pose was a bit stiff.

A round of gesture drawing, with 30 seconds spent per pose.

A shorter round, with 60 seconds spent per pose.

I'll keep practicing these, and try to update again soon.
