Leo - Art Journey

Hey everyone ! My name is Leo, I've been drawing for Sept 2020. I saw everyone's great journaling of their journey and I thought it'd be kinda cool to do it also as I am a pure maniac Who draws for hours everyday.

That will maybe force me to actually do the assignments as i skipped so many and I also skipped some lessons rather quick and some others i avoided.

I'll post what is my current level just after this
Anyway I hope everyone will enjoy the journey

Alright so yesterday I stumbled across a Steve Hudson class on the head and that's what i got out of it, was really helpful

Beware i am a maniac and i'm not messy at all, I'm trying to dump all the excess energy I have onto my pages lmao. Am a little bit of a psycho

Did a quick 2 point perspective for Term 1 assignment

Drew during the weekend but nothing worth posting, here's some head sketches and random things.
I still struggle with drawing the eyes in perpective and also drawing the breasts in perspective
If anyone has advice for it go ahead
Other than that i feel significant progress on drawing the face in different angles, sketching heads all the time definitely is a great exercise

Practicing some rendering of basic shapes, im struggling with round shapes and values
I didnt do any sketch with the face i jumped straight to painting that was a fun experiment !

Just finished my most beautiful painting I think ! At least without reference.
I'm really happy of this one. Though it's not really a style I chose and there were no real intention behind that that was a good rendering exercise

Liked the sketch so i tried coloring quickly and put lights and shadows, i tried looking at some refs for the hair cut, the leather and designs

I'm really starting to feel my improvement in terms of DRAWING it feels good even if it's still not perfect

I'm on a drawing spree but now I take a break I need a break oh lord stop my wrists from drawing

Thank you so much !! Gotta admit i kinda got them by "luck" and exploring things lmao I'm still surprised i did that myself ! The expressions and all were not really intentionnal I'd say I got them by experimenting

Tried coloring, to give it some life, but kinda meh ahah need to study colors and values !

Tried creating some characters ! very basic first, i know they're very generic for now, i'm actually more focussed on finding a cool pose and forcing myself to draw clothes / costumes and try rendering these !

I should probably focus on imagining a story for them and give them some personnality to make them more unique.

And maybe try to really spend time on 1 piece which is something i'm kinda never doing, mostly spending 3-4 hours on one piece and then go next !

that pistol on the first image looks too large compared to the rest of the character unless it isn't meant to be a pistol but it also could be just me. I also feel like the foot in the foreground doesn't fit in with the perspective of the rest of the pose we should see a more side view of the shoe instead of a mostly top-down view it looks great otherwise
