The start of my Art School Journey with all of you! The day is July 6th, 2022. Truth be told, I actually recently graduated college back in December with a Bachelor's Degree in Animation/Illustration. I feel like college definitely helped me, but I still feel lost. I feel lost as in I don't know what my art style is/want it to be, I feel like my skills should be a lot better than they actually are (especially after attending college! I want :star: IMPROVEMENT :star:) , and I'm trying to figure out where I want to go first and how to get there. Many times, especially after graduating, when I go to start an illustration (or any artwork), I become paralyzed by negative emotions and am overcome with feelings of dread and just the inability that I can't create what I envision. As you can see, I have a lot going on in my head! A lot of self doubt and imposter syndrome, at the moment. My goals in life are to create my own stories, be a freelance artist selling prints, and help make video games as a concept artist! I would love for my stories to be adapted into tv shows or video games (preferably video games!), but I could do a comic by myself in the meantime! It's my beloved passion project, and I think about it many times throughout the day. Besides working on my technical drawing skills, I also wish to develop a more positive mindset and confidence, as well as finding the passion for doing what I love again! Thank you for your support on my journey! And all of you also have my full support!

Welcome, may it be a wonderful ride.

July 14th, 2022. Completed the first two assignments!

Drawing digitally isn't new to me, and I've been doing it for about 4 years now. But I was shocked that none of my professors from college ever taught us something like hand dexterity or pen control! I had difficulty with the circles lol.

For the second assignment, I think everything went pretty smoothly except for the last part. I had trouble adjusting the blue but being able to keep the orange at the same time.

Have seen a lot of people's attempts in the last couple of weeks, and everyone struggles to get the blue hues completely right. You've done an excellent job. Keep having fun!

Just completed my Combining Images assignment! I'm pretty happy with how it came out! I forgot to include a river though!

And here (below) are the images used.

This is great. I’ll take one wherever this is 🥰

I'm not sure. Maybe feather the selection a bit before masking or cutting?
(Selection -> modify -> feather)
Or you can reach this effect in the "select and mask" modus. But I work rarely with this tool. I use mostly "add mask".
