@mitsuki-youko I do have the feedback version of the course, but I do believe if you have the course at all you can join facebook. If you are looking for feedback though the discord is a lot more active. The colors were for a pallate I was working on for Chun Li. This is the facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/artschoolstreams
@Xybb Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you, I definitely don't have a good grasp of the shapes of the belly, I need to focus on that for sure. I agree also the muscles are not so much to my taste. For now my though is to include them to help cement my anatomy until I feel like I have it memorized more but I agree with you, I dont particularly think it is appealing. Thank you for the information on the arms as well. I think they are off in several ways! Do you know of any way to transform or liquify multiple layers at once?
Mostly right now im just trying to get the process down, I know marc always has good reasons for wanting his students to do things a certain way, but I had been resisting so long because I was doing multiply layer wrong. So Im hoping to get the process down.
Also that is funny about the hair! I had someone else say that to me and I think it is! I just really dont know any other way about going about it for now! Im surprised so many like it! Perhaps I will keep it!
Thank you so much for the feedback!
@cody-simonson Thank you so much for the kind words! I appreciate it!
@holyjosh Hi Josh, the color will probably be a while off, I have covid and have not been feeling well so it will be an unproductive week for me. I think shading was probably the subject I spent the most time on and had the most trouble with. Marc has said that the better you get at understanding volumes that the sahding information will come for free. I think for most maybe that is the case but I didn't feel it was that way for me.
I feel like two sources gave me a stronger understanding of values and that was dorien intens shadow course and angel ganevs portrait youtube list. I think portraits in general help the most with shading and values because they are so subtle.
I practiced to train my eyes to see the values better each day, taking a pure black paintbrush and seeing how many different shades of grey I could get before reaching full black with one stroke each. I started with ten and could eventually get to 40 or 50. I think that type of exercise helps. If that doesnt make sense let me know and I can show you examples of the practice I did.
