Nice job with the colors, that last one was tough XD
Gotcha on the tablet thing, those standard graphics tablets seem difficult to get the hang of at first

Term 1 - Assignment 3 - Combining Images

This one made me laugh out loud at how bad I was at it. I added the house all the way in the back cause it was the only place that would work and turns out my images were rEALLY bad quality but I just was not thrilled with this assignment haha.

Term 1 - Assignments 4 - Selections/Liquify/Heal/Stamp

I have pushed off these "Photoshop" lessons so badly because I literally really really really did not want to do them. I don't have photoshop and just got Clip Studio Paint and I've never been more frustrated trying to figure out how to do these with a different program. Like almost in tears haha! Some of what he was doing literally does not even exist in Clip Studio so half of these assignments I spent googling for answers. But I did them to the best of my ability while keeping some sanity (not amazing).

I just really didn't want to skip it while really wanting to skip it lol! Here they are.

Term 1 - Nude Figure Drawing - Daily Practice 1-4
Honestly, not sure if I can keep up with these daily exercises! They took me so long! Like 3hrs. Not because it's a hard concept but because I'm just not great with straight lines and placing my circles/squares properly due to apparent discomfort with my tablet lol.

I think I'm gonna have to downgrade to just doing one of the "cylinder" figures a day otherwise I won't progress. :frowning:

Lol also I've always hated doing the 8-head practice so I already know I'm in for a lot of "doing the same thing" practice so may as well move on to that while building my understanding of volumes.

Decided to do one more draw over set of the cylinder poses! Same images so figured I'd just complete both the simple skeletons and cylinder skeletons. (Was inspired by other forum posters)

looking good indeed, just one small thing about the cylinders, there is no need to do so many contour lines on them, two or three should be plenty to show the direction of it, try to space them, to many looks a bit to clustered, keep it up

Haha yeah, that's why I only did the many contour lines on that one figure. I just was curious how it would look! Thanks though!

Nude Figure Drawing - Assignment 4
First time doing the cylinders outside of the body. Honestly, my proportions are just a tiny bit off but I did better than I thought I would. I was just trying to tell myself "I can do this" because for some reason I thought it would be too hard? Anyways here's this assignment. I think I'll move on to the 8 heads now!

nice work
do note in the bottom left figure, that the arm is pointing towards the observer rather than being shorter and to the left, more like the upper left figure

cheers

That's for the arm on the left? It looked like the elbow was further away from the observer to me, if so?

Bottom left figure, the black guy, the arm (from shoulder to elbow) is pointing almost at the observer so should be more foreshortened

Ohhh okay! Yes, I see it! Thank you for the feedback. Still have a lot of practice to do with my figures haha.

Nude Figure Drawing - Assignment 5
For some reason I was dreading this but it wasn't too hard for my brain to remember. Like Mar said, it took me 3 before it felt pretty easy - 1 following along with Marc.

You can tell I got more confident by the 3rd one though the feet are off cause I was kind of rushing to see if I understood it even when going fast.

Figure Drawing Practice - 1

Took me a while to get here because I was redoing the tablet practice and the beginning color/contrast practice since I moved from krita to ClipStudioPaint, but I'm here!

It was fun! Not my first time doing these but I used lineofaction.com and there was a cute little walkthrough that also helped me just stress less. You can see I've loosened up/wasn't panicking as much for my few 1min drawings! I did draw over other figures sometimes and it is pretty sloppy but it's practice so it's supposed to be a lil ugly haha.
