Hi everyone.
I did this personal project to exercise creating a 3D render from a 2D illustration
The illustration is from Jason Felix for Magic The Gathering.
The project is in my Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/G9nP31

First I blocked everything in Modo. Then I refined some meshs (mainly the cloth and head) in Zbrush. The hard surface was all done in Modo.
I created some fast uvs. As I needed just the side view I didnt worry too much about it.
Then I used the Modo paint tools to paint the reference image over the mesh.
That gave me textures identical to the illustration.
After that I used Photoshop to paint my own textures over the textures from the illustration.
Finally I used the Modo Render to create 3 images: the seeker, the shelf and the background.
I made the composition in Photoshop to get the final look.
If you liked, please give your digital like. That can help me to show my work.
Im still a student improving my skills.
Thank you!
