Here are a few creature sketches I made. I'm trying to learn anatomy, and thought I'd have some fun in the process.
The first is a pig-inspired creature. It speciealizes in eating poisonus plants, shrooms and roots, and the poison manifests in its skin. It's also very colorful, almost like a poison dart frog. They live in small family groups, much like wild hogs.
This next one is a hybrid between a dog and a human. I didn't wanna go the common werewolf route, so I chose to go with this.
This creature is the size of a swan, and has evolved for sucking blood off huge desert dwelling creatures. Their beak is used for stabbing through the thick skin, and a hollow tongue sucks out blood. The crop is used for carrying blood to their young. Their wings are huge, to allow for the creature to cool down, and carry the big bird. They live in flocks and have abstract wing patterns to make it more difficult for predators to single out a single individual.
