Soo I moved to another country, changed my job, did project management qualification and learning my new country’s language while also enjoying life and smelling the daisies when possible, but lately I have been feeling the old itch, so I drew up some pinups and figures.
Feedback welcome

I wanted to do a realistic portrait as I hadn’t in ages, so started this last week, hope to finish during the weekend.

The pinup and figure looks pretty good. I also like the realistic portrait.

Thank you! I finally cleaned that up. Meanwhile started 3 more ..
I have a habit of taking too long to finish a piece, then I lose interest in it and just start something else. I found 8 from recently i started and abandoned, that are decent enough to not delete, but not finished. There’s also been a number of drawings I felt I “outgrew” - became better before I finished them, and it would be easier to start from scratch than fix them. Anyone else thinking that?

I do think about that. Sometimes I make a new piece or finish my old one. Nice art work so far.

Welcome back and congratulations for all the changes in your life (assuming it was all positive change ). Your art looks great as always!

I also tend to abandon drawings when I take too long and honestly, I pretty much never go back to them. I tend to just start new things instead and I think I would do like you said and startbthem from scratch if I thought one was a nice enough idea. So no you are not alone with those thoughts!

Thanks @cedricgo always appreciate you stopping by
Yes, they were positive changes, and now that I’m settled in, I have time for painting again, so feeling “complete”
Last few weeks I tried some beach themed studies
I like the idea of remaking classical art in my own style (i know its’s not an original idea but it’s fun), will probably try again.

That does sound pretty cool to remake classical art. The Venus art and the beach study look good.

Thanks! Think I’ll try the creation of Adam or one of a few Klimt pieces I like  Any suggestions what might be a fun piece to make into a character?

You're welcome. Since you started the Venus / Aphrodite painting, maybe some more Greek paintings or the ones from pottery?

Finished up my Seraphine study, really enjoyed cleaning up the hard and soft line
@gregorya sounds like a good idea, I’ll look into that. For now I tried a Klimt portrait I like, felt like drawing a pretty dress.

I’m on a quest to finish every painting I started in the last 2 years. 1 down
