Hello! I'm Mielstrom. I'm self-taught in illustration and currently work as an art instructor at a studio in California. Went to school for Visual Communications and Graphic Design; it never really was my thing. I've wanted to work in the gaming industry since I was a child (especially because a lot of people in my immediate family/social circle work in it) but I've changed my mind since. However, I still really want to build a solid portfolio in case I want to go for it!
I joined ART School to learn illustration! I'm working through Term 1 at the moment. I never got to really learn art in school, so I'm very excited to be a part of this.
One of my biggest issues is being inconsistent with drawing. I explore a lot of styles and genres of art, so it feels like I've never really made any progress in one field.
Here are a few pieces I did dating back from 2015-2017. None of them are finished. I'm REALLY looking to improve, so I'm looking forward to any feedback! ART School will be a very nice, clean slate for me as an artist.

Definite New Year's Resolution is to draw LOTS more! Not having any finished pieces over the course of a few years is no good!
