Hi everyone! Well I had completely forgotten about posting in here since ArtWar, and that makes me a very bad artist.
Here is my most recent completed piece, an attempt to make a creature with the "stone" element more interesting! A crystal gargoyle named "Smooshy".

And today's progress thus far of an attempt at resculpting the rat from Parasite Eve! He's maybe 6 hours in (roughly- I was really distracted while streaming this, haha!).

Did some more work on the rat, played with some substance painter and tomorrow will try adding fur.

Smooshy is looking really cool! Would love to have something like that as a statue in my room, with pretty crystals and such instead of the stones x3

Haven't had much chance to work in 3D the last few days, this week has just been crazy. Here's some 2d concepts I did in the meantime on work breaks!

Started work on the Samudra sculpt, just blocking out after I got the head where I wanted it!

Big update incoming, and any help/critique is much appreciated!

I was advised, to push myself further as an artist, to do something that was NOT my concept- something way out of my comfort zone. So I decided to do this piece, done by BeastofOblivion:

Here is the head so far, sans ears:

After doing an initial blockout body, I decided to Tpose it in Zbrush just to see proportionally what needed fixing. Here's the result with an overlay:

So I kept working on it and finished more blockouts. Took it in to pose again and the body... is too short! But I fear if I go too much farther I will cross into Dachshund territory and, quite frankly, there's not much intimidating about a weenie dog.

Any suggestions? The foreshortening is INSANE, I had to set my depth of field to 150 in Zbrush to get it to look about right. 135 in the overlay image.

I don't have any 3D knowledge, so I can't really help you much. However I think it's coming along well. I hope you're really motivated though. You didn't pick the easiest thing to do XD

Lengthened him just a bit more, now blocking in anatomy under all that fur <3
