Cheers to everyone, my name is Illia, I'm 21 y.o. from Ukraine.
I've been studying art actively and more serious since May 2021. My main goal is to develop myself as a concept artist but as a absolute beginner I'm trying to build up my fundamentals first. So, I decided to go along with Art School to get more structural approach in my learning process and to not struggle with what I should do next. I have a great desire to push my design and storytelling skills so time will show up what I'll be able to achieve.
I'm opened to all the critique and I'll be glad to discuss art related topics and all this kind of stuff. I'll post some of my previous studies to show up the starting point.
Welcome to the forums! I see you have a great understanding of anatomy and digital painting. I also see that you have Ahmed's course as well how is it in your opinion I was going to buy it at some point but I want to focus on one thing at a time? I would say you are way past absolute beginner though you seem to know your anatomy and form very well and your painting skills look on point so have more confidence in your skills.
Thanks for the kind words Ahmed's course really great but since it's focused mostly on portraits I felt like I need something else to cover other important aspects that I needed for concept art like design, composition, storytelling, creature drawing, etc. So I'm just doing Ahmed's course 1-2h daily in between of other studies. Hope this art school thing will help me with that stuff
I think it will help you get a better grasp on those topics hope you enjoy the course and can't wait to see what else you do.
There hasn't been much time in the last few days so done a lot of quick drapery studies. Here some of them. Going to work on art school assignments now (.โ แด โ.)
