TBH im not sure the colors I chose is the best but they're ones I like LOL
Technically Cyan should be Red and Den should be blue since in hacking, blue team = Defense and Red team = offense
But I first decided that i wanted to make a blog.. then i was like well i need visuals and then i was like hm wouldn't it be cool if i could practice art WHILE also learning hacking?? and was like oh infographics! i should make em. Gonna need characters!
But wait, what should i call the blog? and when naming anything i always just go hm.. this looks like a __.
In this case i came up with CyanScythe cus it sounded cool. I imagined a cool character with a scythe and so I ended up designing Cy(an) (who btw has no relation to Maxus's other Identity as Cy BUT in the story, at one point her Cy identity gets blown due to the gov finding out that there's someone else named Cy and in this time in the world, there's a one name policy where everyone must have a unique name for security reasons. I've briefly thought about who the other real Cy is before but now im like ooh CyanScythe Cy can show up as a cameo in my story!

now where was I lol colors... Cyan well is Cyan so i went with a cyan color palate.
I've always imagined Den as kind of giving off Fate Gilgamesh vibes but with a vastly different personality so tried to kind of formulate the color scheme of red and gold just cus he gives me gilgamesh vibes lol.
As for the little touches of opposite colors..
since cy is supposed to be a red teamer / attacker, i made her eyes a bit more red and gave her a red scythe for that red team vibe
and with Den, I gave him an earring and some bracelet thingies that are blue for that blue team vibe. his barriers are also blue for that reason. TBH i orig imagined him having gold barriers cus again, gilgamesh vibes but realized he barely has any blue lol. it ended up lookin not too bad.
I guess the way I can spin this so it doesn't seem like im bad at design lol is that its important to know the other side as much if not more than the side you want to be on.
Example: if you wanna be on the offensive/red team you should know a lot about the blue team to better counter them and vice versa.
Red and blue teams working together = purple team so perhaps there'll be a scene somewhere where Den and Cy work together and their powers turn purple lol idk havent thought of a practical scenario for that yet.
