Hi @allietenacity! There's a couple of things that I see that I feel could maybe make your image stronger. So feel free to try them out if you want
First, I would tone down the texture of the background a lot and maybe also brighten it up a bit. Right now the heavy texture just calls too much attention away from the character and that's not really something you want in a piece where the character is supposed to be the focus.
Next would be the folds of the shirt , which already have been mentioned. I think they would read better if they were more horizontal instead of vertical and just a few should be enough. You can check a few references of shirts to see how the folds would behave. I also think you could drop the highlights on the pants. With the simple style you have I feel like those highlights makes it seem like the pants are made of metal instead of fabric.
And lastly I'd just add some sort of shadow on the ground, cast by the character, just to make him feel like he's standing on something instead of floating.
Here's a very rough example of what it could look like. Hopefully you'll get the idea despite the roughness.
