Heyoo!!! I'm Nakmy, an emerging 2D artist and as you can see, I've created this forum to share my progress within the Art School; I'll be taking from Quarter 1 to Quarter 10 as it should be. If you ask me about my beginnings in drawing, I have to tell you that just 1 year ago I started drawing and 4 months ago I wanted this to be serious because I have thought about doing character design, concept art and above all that is more fantasy art because I want to provide, create and show what goes beyond the imagination, I know it sounds crazy but I trust in me. As for progress, the constancy I will maintain and without fail every day to keep me up to date. If you get to finish the whole program Nakmy, I can't wait to see you. Beginning of the challenge: February 4th

I am contributing here my first attempt so I hope you like it and I am open to opinions.

well, first off, welcome aboard, I hope you learn plenty and grow. It seems you've got quite the artistic vision and I can see you are already tackling color, composition, values, hands and faces XD so that's some start, can't wait to see how you grow as an artist, especially seeing you just started 1 year ago

My only recommendation at this point would be, seeing you like tackling a bit of everything, would be not to underestimate the importance of the most basic exercises and concepts!

cheers

I really appreciate your words :3 Honestly I've been seeing a little bit of everything to create my style and yeah, practices and exercises are very important. Of course, I will upload them since I'm very new at it, it's good to know the basics with a fresh mind

I want to change my profile photo but it won't let me ahhh

Welcome to the forums. I can only advise you to work on the basics first.

12 days later

I have done some internships so I will upload them progressively. I have realized that thanks to this exercise I have never practiced lines in this way, in this half hour, now I see the improvement of the stroke, ready to practice in the next arts. As for the circle, don't blame me, I'm not square-minded.

This stroke and line work is daily, so in order not to spam the same activity so much, I will upload it once every 1-2 months, so it won't feel too heavy to watch it.

Let's continue with this image production practice, if I'm honest, I didn't know I had these options to change color, tonal value and balance colors (I use Clip Studio Paint so I'm really amazed) and I'm really glad. I know it's not perfect so I'll keep improving on the shadows. I like how we are progressing :3

I will do the gesture practices, so I will prepare myself and share with you

For 1 minute it was good, although I must improve my gesture (strokes of the gesture itself that differ from an attempt at a base line)

That's pretty good. You should work on more line confidence.

Hey, those are some pretty great lines work, and your gesture look pretty good, if you can try draw the line of action when you first start drawing gesture, it's how you usually locate the spine and the pose's action.
