I am attempting to make a character design concept art portfolio. So I asked my girlfriend and a couple buddies to give me ideas. I’d like to post one at a time and use what feedback I get to improve the next piece!

The idea was my girlfriend’s, she gave me “naked mole rat with pants.”

I honestly don’t know what to point out as I’m mostly self taught so feel free to give me any and all criticism! Thank you!

ooh noice

  1. imo the tusks and the nose shape in the shaded one makes it look more like a hippo ngl XD

  2. googled naked mole rat and it looks like it has more creases/wrinkles in its skin, perhaps add some more of those?

  3. i think his face needs to be a little flatter - looks like their noses are pretty smol. which is probs why i thought the shaded one was a hippo at first :3

other than that ur art looks rly nice
