Need some tips or maybe a critique

i recently doing some value practice from photo
anyone can give me some advice or critique and where's my weaknesses of this painting.Really appreciate all feedback you given. Thanks

The nose seems very long, which kind of makes the face look out of proportion.

Heya, great work! Think you have organized your values nicely and have some nice shapes to work with.

Definitely consider softening the background wall shapes and defining the foreground shapes. Hard edges tend to pull the viewer's focus

Hey there, this is looking pretty nice already, one of the things that could be improved upon is the edge quality through out your painting/study. Having varied edges can really help your painting feel more finished/clean. Here is a link to an article that puts it better than I can: Link

This is beautiful! I think the thing to focus on improving is the proportions of the face: her mouth seems small compared to her eyes and nose.

I agree, the proportions of her face are a bit off. However her head feels a bit small. Also her legs look as if they were cramped into the framing of the photo. I think that if you made the image more wide it would allow for more breathing room for the legs.

@taydemcdonald @thunderdumpling well i intended not to too paint realisticly, but think i'll study more face proprotions. for the legs, i cropped the image because i want the rule of thirds composition hit the left eye. but maybe im mistaken ?

Hmmm, her legs don't really seem relaxed. The left leg seems a bit off, it looks smaller than the right leg. It's difficult to describe. I guess that it if her back was shifted a little more towards the chair, it would allow more room for a more relaxed posture. It's difficult for me to find any flaws when you did such wonderfully detailed shading.
