I didn't think there was a way to cut styrofoam. I'm bothering that I don't have a proper reference. :joy: :joy: :joy:

This exercises help me a lot. I used to have a big problem with oval shapes. Still they are not perfect. The truth is these stuff are boring as hell and I avoided them  but they are important, I had professor who said we can't draw basic geometric shapes, and I was... that is not true. I needed 5 years to understand what he meant, and... I still can't

I think I lost likeness along the way. Maybe the sketch wasn't good enough or maybe my values are wrong. This is my first head with dark skin. I started over the hair a few times and I still can't figured out. The struggle is real

This is another food study. It’s always seems easy until you start  This is first time I use Procreate. It’s not my best work, it’s suppose to be quick study but I needed few days. I tried few thing until it worked out.

I absolutely love your food studies! I love the form and the lighting especially and the far left raspberry. I love the colors you use in the shadows, really makes the piece even more interesting! I really love how you can feel the volume and transluencey on all of these. Lovely work Niko!

Thank you! Colours are my stronger side. The interesting thing is you liked the one I haven’t use the darker colour on it. And you are right, it’s better. I was anxious to finish the piece, because it’s supposes to be a study and to make it fast. I spent too much time on it. But now I want to change a few things. I can make it better. Thank you for the feedback, it’s better when you have fresh pair of eyes

Just another study. I noticed I few mistake I made in jaw. When I made the structure it was easy to put feathers. Usually I don’t do it

Whoah! This is fantastic! I am not familiar with shading like this but I really love how all your hatches follow the form and the contours. You can really feel the volumes on this and your values are on point! Really lovely work Nina! I think I am like you. I end up spending much time on each thing I do instead of doing many things but I think it all balances out in the end. Really nice work!

Fast sketches help to loose your art, your hand, it’s improve your workflow, It’s great exercise. And with time help you to draw faster. I had a foreign colleague in university and she said they had to finish a piece for a day. She painted really fast. In my university we have a piece for a week, 5hours 5days. That’s why I am trying it, but my paintings become ugly

Very lovely work Nina! I'm on my phone so I can't see them side to side but the improved contrast on the second piece really helps the read. Nice work!

Really lovely work Nina! You are far beyond my skill but I have always wanted to pay you back for all the help you have given me! I don't know if any of this is right, but I did a paint over of the sandwich.

When I looked at this my eye is really drawn to the bottom bun because the values are really high. To me based on the cast shadows it appeared that the light was coming from the top, so I reduced the values on the bottom bun thinking the cheese and meat would likely cast shadow on it, also hopefully drawing away some of the attention.

I added some extra AO and bounce light, but honestly im pretty new at all of that so I just did what I thought may look good. I reduced the values on the eggs just a little bit because to me they were drawing a lot of attention. My version may not be as vibrant and its probably not right but maybe it gives you some ideas and was fun for me to think about! Really lovely work as always Nina!
