Hi Puekkers! I am enjoying the colours and the overall mood of the piece.
The thing that stands out the most is the textures. The overlay textures for the clothing on the mad scientist's clothing and tesla backpack are very noticeably patterns that have been stuck on. It gives the cloth the appearance of a transparent cloth that you are looking through to a paint splattered wall.
The first way that I think you could help change it is to use the liquify tool to let the texture flow with the drapery of the cloth; this way it will help fool the eye into believing it is on top of the cloth (but liquify can make things blurry so it will need to be used sparingly).
The other way you could modify it is to use other types of traditional textured brushed to create the mud platters.
The posing of the characters are quite nice. The raised arm with the slightly turned torso and twist in the head of the pumpkin is appealing.
The Mad scientist's expressive pose and face draw our eyes towards him. His hair and finger also remind me of Uncle Sam in the war recruitment posters which I find fun. But I do think that if you changed the direction of the pointed finger to point right where the scientist is looking; it would make this piece even better. Right now I am confused as to why he is pointing at the corner.
Overall your piece is pretty great. I hope this helps a bit.
