Oi, it's been a while

Finished commission, I was not expecting a couple piece but I love it. And I can't believe I didn't paint Zack Fair earlier. I messed up his face a bit, this angle gave me a headache. The girl is client oc

So it took a lot of sketches, then approved sketch. Clean ups were absolutely awful so I made new versions of the approved sketch (it was much better), off to colors, I had different palette in mind but its not for me. Also keep stuff on separate layers in case client forgets their character has 3 wings instead of 1, at least it was an easy fix. Wings are my favourite part

Some sketches. I made like 10 of them, ideas just kept flowing, later I was just working aroung one trying to improve it

First palette was my idea, the second is after changes. It was weird starting from such dark colors, I usually start from very desaturated bright colors

I also do a lot of doodles, sketches and simpler stuff but I will share it when I am done with it

I think you should do more pieces with saturated colors, it looks cool in your revised draft

I like the sketches and the dark colors work pretty well with the picture. I almost didn't notice the third wing over her hip.

I really like the composition of your illustration. The wings help lead the viewer's eyes, curving upward and leading them to the planet's curve in the background as the viewer's eyes then settle on the characters' faces, one of the major focal points of your illustration.

I do try to go with very saturated colors but I always end up using a lot of grey and toning down everything. Will try to work on it

I draw only Terence and Dion from FFXVI right now
Went really easy with these. With the first one I decided to have fun with it and didn't really care about anything other than making it pretty. The second one I just colored sketch since it was pretty clean and made very simple rendering.

Aaand Im going to host winter themed challenge on Cara with other artists. It came out of nowhere but we are having fun preparing for it. Can't wait to make my painting

That's interesting to know. At least the colors helped.
I like the colors and the composition of the characters. The charcoal is pretty good as well. especially the lining of the character's face.

Congrats on the comission!! Haven't been around for a bit but your works are still as great as ever! I think I also see more and more pretty boy material on them.
As usual brushworks are on point, but I'll keep mentioning it cause it's true xD.

Busy preparing the challenge, I am done with one artwork 3 more to go. I will show it when the event is up.

apart from that Im mostly doodling. Can't get myself to make clean illustrations even if I have it planned out. I am procrastinating on digital art with traditional now, its just so relaxing

Laine is with watercolors too, but it was more messy sketch approach, on this I tried to make it clean

Yuki design
I don't know how to name her so I just call her Yuki. One of the very first characters I made for comic
Moon priestess. Yuki is often taking care of diplomatic business so she is mostly traveling. When at home she helps people afflicted with taint. MC best friend

And I got another idea for short story, its getting easier to write but Im still afraid of commiting to it... and this one is like couple shots long. I don't know but I feel like I am more afraid that people will actually like it... need to somehow get over it

Uf I don't know how to explain it... Not embarassment. it's like someone will suddenly expect something from me. What if they wait for more. And it can set a bar for the next works... Succeding in my case I harder than failing I already feel weird with the amount of love my recent artworks get. Even family members who were mad at me for choosing art started approving it and like it

At least thats how i feel about it, you gotta do what you enjoy in your terms if you can - life is too short otherwise and no one is going to care more about wether or not you enjoyed the ride once its over than - you.

Nice sketches and doodles. I notice the eyes being different in the 2nd and 4th pictures. The eyes are a little asymmetrical. The watercolors look great. The design looks pretty good. I like the name, Yuki.

I heard this mentioned before from a YouTube channel called Literature Devil. He mentioned it from what Brandon Sanderson advises.
You can write one short story every month for a year and release one story a month at a time for the next year. Then you can repeat the process. There might be more, but that's how I remember it.

You can write one short story every month for a year and release one story a month at a time for the next year. Then you can repeat the process. There might be more, but that's how I remember it.

I don't have a problem with writing now. This part comes pretty easy and I will rely more on art in my stories. The problem is picking up a pen to start drawing it. Because these are more time consuming projects and require more from me. Pretty overwhelming

I didn't plan on using my characters for these but they fit prompts perfectly

Its' for week 2. Since the prompts are up I thinks its fine to show this one too ^^
I might work on this some more, im not super satisfied with it.
Im trying to make more visible difference in faces because I tend to do one face for all.

The problem is picking up a pen to start drawing it. Because these are more time-consuming projects and require more from me. Pretty overwhelming

If I remember correctly, there are comic tutorials that can help with that. some people who come to mind are Trent Kananugia, Mark Crielly, Whyt Manga, and Proko
If it's about time, then you can start with a short comic. maybe 10 pages, or less.
Haru looks great. I like the flowing cloth and the reindeer behind him.
Dorian looks great as well. I like his fairy wings. They look like diamonds. The rabbit looks cute too.

Love the pieces! Such beautiful colors! Interesting Challenge. I find joining these events helps a lot for practice. Gives a clear goal and audience who are excited to see what you do. Very motivating.

Got two commissions! It makes me so happy that someone wants to buy my art. One I finished today the other is in progress. Also used paypal for the first time and this thing is so confusing! I spent a while trying to figure out how to do it. But I got it

Cal as Warden of Ice for winter challenge
I struggled so much with this. I couldn't finish this wasn't sure about anything. I don't like some parts but people seem to love it. A lot. I didn't expect it. But for some reason the pieces I feel are the worst are the ones that others love most

Blood snow - this is for the part of challenge I am hosting ^^
This one I couldn't start. It went through other characters but I didn't feel it so a new one it is. Then csp decided to randomly turn off and I lost everything, recovery file was pretty empty... I was worried I won't finish it on time (it's next week) and it would be bad if host wouldn't make it. But I made it and I love the result. I really enjoy working in black and while lately.

The initial idea, you will see this character soon. I ended up making someone else. Also ignore the dog I can draw a whole horse from memory but not a dog even if I constantly see two

I want to start making more complex art, With actual backgrounds. Have some illustrations planned already. And will start working on stories too. Will start with the very short one. It also has a light mood compared to the other very dark one so it will be easier.
