This is supposed to be her corrupted body but ye it does look like that. I hope it looks better on the render.

Still don't know what to do about her crown. I like how the flame came out even though it doesn't really fit the rest.

Ah, I see now!
Yeah the discoloration where the skin meets the corruption helps show that a lot.

You got me thinking about horns with hairlines and how awkward they can be so I decided to look at how other artists handle it. Turns out they...pretty much don't haha. The horns are almost always behind the hairline, hiding its skin contact. On the rare occasion they want to make the character look more monstrous the horns are usually moved in front of the hairline, showing all the twisted ways it affects the surrounding skin. Wild stuff.

As for the crown I'm not sure. Maybe a few quick thumbnails on top of copied images of the head would yield what you're looking for?

I was looking up lots of horns and they often look like they are glued to hair and not coming out of head. I will probably put them behind hairline. I will come up with something once I figure out crown

Solaire from Dark Souls

I wanted more saturated and bright yellows for this one but it doesn't work for me so I switched to this one. Also added a shield instead of sword holding arm.

It was a very pleasant piece to do. I really enjoyed rendering armor. And I did background! Simple but still

What do you think about sun rays? Can colors stay like this? I wanted analogous palette between red and yellow but I don't have much orange tones in here some are in background

I like your corrupted queen character. If you want, you could make the crown wrap around the head.
The Knight looks pretty good.

I like the sun's rays. I think it needs to be a little brighter. And maybe some more lighting around the Knight.

Thank you @gregorya! Initially I had the crown wrapped around horns but I changed it. I will think about it.

I changed lights a bit and added bounce light. I think it looks better now. Thank you!

Tommorow I will get my exam papers but I think I won't go to college. Hard decision to make as it was my main goal for past 3 years (Game design with VR). I think it will be a waste of time and money. Probably I would not focus on classes as I would do my personal art. Also I learn better on my own than in a full classroom.

I recently started term 5 with character design (still watching it). So I decided to design warrior character for another cubebrush challenge. I wanted to make illustration with dragon fighting warrior for a while so I can make a clear design as well as assignment. (Totally ignoring my existing characters and other projects) and I just want to draw cool knight hopefully I will finish it before deadline

I try to focus more on having consistent shapes. I have dragon head as the main shape(?) and this horns (yes again). I struggle with helm design and cannot decide between big shapes and smaller plates for legs and arms. Also I will make him wider

The knight design looks good so far. For the arms and legs, you can look up references to Knight armor. I would suggest smaller plates for the arms and large plates for the legs.

Thank you! My problem is that I always have to many refs and I like all of them
I will go for big plates for legs

I will make another sketch on this version and I think it will be the rendered version I will also try to make character sheet for this one

Armor came out a bit too purplish I had to adjust it because it was too dark and from blue it became purple. It is still dark but I think it work like this. Maybe I will do some changes later but it probably won't change much. I am not satisfied with lower legs but I will leave it. I will make weapons later

i think his front leg is a bit too long.. maybe shortening it would be a little better?

Thank you! I think hands just seem to be small because it is covered with arm piece. It was too big when I measured it but I may be wrong.

I didn't feel like doing much past few days so I haven't finished weapons for knight yet. Everything just felt bad, people telling me that I am wasting my time for art and that I am still young and I will change my mind...

I tried studying Maria Dimova. I like her portraits and the way she does hair; I tried simplifying her hair to fit me. I also build whole asaro head construction it helps a lot and I memorised most of planes

Here are portraits that came out nice. First one is Red from Transistor, I could have done it in red or at least hair so it would look more like her . Eyes are a bit uneven. I like second one there is something about her look. Maybe I will make it a full character.

Last one was done today. Went totally empty headed but looks nice and fits my story. Nose feels weird and folds aren't nice.

I think all of your artworks are really pretty so I don't think its a waste of time.
But I am just a stranger on the internet so don't take my opinion too seriously.

There are always going to be people that say this. Especially if you are living in a small town that doesn't place any value on art. The general population has no idea just how many jobs are out there for good artists. Its also entirely possible to support yourself with just an on-demand print service online. Its important to keep in mind that you are likely much more educated on the topic than they are. Focus on what's important to you and keep improving on it!
